So, tonight I accomplished a few items and then had a revelation on some changes to the overall gameplay. For the first level (which is going to be the vertical shooter level), The Players can Die/Lose by either:
- Losing All of Their Health
- Allowing too many missiles to Hit The Earth
I implemented those rules within the confines of the Scoreboard (on the level today) and I think it will add an extra layer of difficulty to the game, but also give the user a choice... "Do I take the hit or does the planet take the hit?"
Things I accomplished today:
- I implemented Collsion
- I implemented Enemies
- I implemented the Concept of HP for Earth and User.
- I implemented a Panel to Display the User's Health as well as the Planets Health
In addition to that, TheRealCornelius provided a dope sketch of what what the planes are going to look like in Level One and I was thoroughly impressed! Take a look for yourselves (I am super freaking pumped!):
Tomorrow (at 5am until 9am PST) I am going to be working on the following issues:
- Making Movement Smoother
- Spawning the Mini-Bosses and Final Bosses
- Introducing the Concept of "The Shield"
