I fucking love teaching Jiu-Jitsu... do any of you guys train?

Agreed - I had always regretted that I didn't take martial arts when I was much younger, I think it would have given me more confidence in how I handled myself around other kids. I also like that it builds focus and discipline and is considered good for ADHD - hoping to build a strong foundation in this age of hyper-information.
I got serious about Jiu-JItsu about 6 years ago... and I will admit that I feel the exact same way. I think that if I would have had it at a younger age, things would have been a bit different :)
But hey, you seem like an awesome dad AND you founded NG... so it all worked out :)
I'm actually learning jiu jitsu in the police force. It's amazing.

Woah! I took Jiu-Jitsu for around nine months in high school then didn't do any martial arts until this past year - now I'm in a karate class with my seven year old, which is an awesome way to spend quality time together.

That is really cool that you take a Karate Class with your son :) I think any martial art at that age is a great thing.
